The Rockefeller Family

 

John D Rockefeller Sr was a man who kept to himself, even in his success. He believed he was better off for it, staying away from the media and his publics. He created the financial superpower that is Standard Oil. He knew how to avoid bad press, and to duck under government regulations. Even going so far as to pretend he was slipping mentally in a court of law to avoid punishment.

John D Rockefeller Sr. was known at the time to have a severe hatred for the media, and continued to stay hidden from their prying eyes. Though he wouldn’t be able to stay hidden forever, as his issue with labor was swelling into something the Nation wouldn’t easily forget.

John D Rockefeller Jr inherited his fathers isolationist ideals, although later they would work to undo these tendencies. John D Rockefeller Jr, also inherited his fathers reputation, but would in time create his own. Being the man that employeed the soldiers who killed many during the Ludlow Massacre, he would have loads of work to do to win back respoect, and he needed help to do it.
