Architecture of the World's Fair

The architectural advancements following the 1893 World's Fair can still be seen today showing just how important this event was in shaping the America that we saw in the following 20 years, as well as today. This new style of architecture was coined "The White City" which was highlighted by large white pillars as well as all-white exteriors and became very popular across America and much of Europe after the World's Fair.

Buildings that took influence from this style included Grand Central Station in New York City and the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. which goes to show the massive influence and popularity of this new style and further shows the impact of the 1893 World's Fair on modern America.
