Countries of the World's fair
The above picture depicts a cartoon drawn by the local newspaper from San Saba County in Texas, which shows this event's draw across the United States. However, the main takeaway from the cartoon is that this was an international event and people from across the world came to see everything that was presented at this world fair. These attendees saw everything from the first fully powered electric world fair, to the new architectural style that inspired many future buildings across the US and the world.
At the exposition, there were 46 countries participated which included Japan, France, Germany, Great Britain, and Spain, who all brought their culture and people from their countries to Chicago for the world fair. One could find diplomats as well as common folk interacting with each other and sharing their cultures with the world. This was a giant step forward for the US in becoming the world power that they wanted to be as people saw the innovation and culture that America had built since its inception roughly 110 years ago.
